Organizational Statement

The Good Samaritan Society Mission registered under the Federal Republic of Nigeria Companies and Allied Matters Decree No 1 of 1990 is an outreach of the Good Samaritan Society of America registered under section 501(C)(3) of the State of Minnesota, USA.

 

We are a non-profit, non-governmental organization for the purpose of providing in general, charitable, educational, health care services and other eleemosynary services to all humanity regardless of their religion, gender, race, creed or ethnic origin.

 

 

Moral Character Statement

A member of the Good Samaritan Society of America, Nigeria Chapter is a person of good character, honest, caring for one another, trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, reverent, and unwilling to give or accept bribes. Stealing, cheating or the abuse of others and their properties will not be tolerated.  A Society member exhibits selfless service to the community and lives his/her life to the highest code of ethics.  Any member found guilty or convicted of any crime against the state or humanity shall have their membership terminated.

 

 

Doctrinal Statement

The Good Samaritan Society of America and The Good Samaritan Society Mission of Nigeria is open to all races, ethnic peoples and creeds.  However, The Society believes that Jesus Christ is the Holy Son of God and the Salvation of the world.  We also believe that the Bible is the Holy Word of God and the final authority in all matters of religion, faith and daily living.  Non-Christian people are welcome in the Society, but must understand that all decisions and policies will be derived from our Christian beliefs and that these beliefs will not be compromised.

 

 

Responsibilities of Membership

A Society Member:

• Is responsible to demonstrate, in daily life, the Moral Character Statement presented above and promote that positive life style.

• Is willing to work to advance the cause of the Society for the well being of the people of Nigeria.
• Is A Law Abiding Citizen.
• Will attend one Business function of the Society per year such as the Annual Conference or one of two semi-annual business meetings.
• Is Unwilling to compromise ethical standards.

 

Privileges of Membership

A Society Member:

• Will receive a Discount on all functions and services at the Mission Site to include; Hospital services (when facility is in operation), School of Continuing Education, Computer Training Center, Secondary education (when in operation)
• Will have the privilege to reserve the use of facilities (as available) e.g: community center, mission housing, etc.
• Will have the Opportunity to attend an annual conference in the United States
• Will, from time to time, be provided Information regarding business opportunities related to the Society
• May avail themself of Advisory services regarding travel to the United States
• May avail themself of Advisory services regarding education in the United States
• May attend Seminars such as entrepreneurship, business, agriculture, religion, Finance, inter-personal relationships, health and hygiene, civic and Social  issues, etc. offered by TGSSA at discounted fees.

Facility Use Policy

The facilities of The Good Samaritan Society Mission have been beautifully prepared to benefit the people who use them.  It is expected that Society Members will treat all facilities with the utmost respect and care and encourage all people to do the same.  This will ensure the ongoing effectiveness of these facilities.

 

Excellent Toilet facilities are provided at the TGSSM village.  For the sake of sanitary and environmental concerns, all people are expected to use the facilities provided.  This is the only acceptable place for easement in the Mission Village.

 

Use of Tobacco, Alcohol or any other drugs are strictly prohibited on the grounds of  The Good Samaritan Society Mission Village.
